Who We Are
LAB TO THE WORLD
For over a decade, I followed the path of a scientist: 17 publications, 3 book chapters, a postdoctoral experience, and a Biotech Excellence Award. It was everything I had worked for.
But something was missing.
In 2022, I realized that my biggest challenge wasn’t in the lab, it was explaining science to the world.
My family and friends struggled to understand my work. I saw misinformation spreading faster than facts. I wondered: What’s the point of knowledge if it stays locked behind research papers?
So, I took science beyond academia.
What started as a simple social media account quickly became a thriving community of 11K+ curious minds, people eager to learn, question, and understand science. I realized that science isn’t just about research; it’s about connection, clarity, and making knowledge truly accessible.

Ph.D. in Biotechnology
My PhD research focused on identifying the gender of Garcinia indica (Kokum) using molecular techniques, blending plant science with biotechnology.
Assistant Professor
Teaching and mentoring students in plant biotechnology, guiding them in lab techniques and
research methodologies.
Postdoctoral Researcher
Ever heard of an edible bird’s nest? My postdoctoral research focused on commercializing a
product for cleaning these unique nests, a delicacy in some cultures. My work was Biotech Excellence Award – CITREX, ITEX
Science Communication & Mentorship
I've always wondered, how can we make science easy for everyone? In today’s digital world,
social media is the perfect tool! I started creating engaging scientific content on Instagram
(formerly dr.librans_science) and mentoring students through various platforms. Today, I’m
proud to have built a community of 11K+ science enthusiasts.
